Legacy Gutter Co: a campaign system for a local service business.

Legacy Gutter Co is an owner-operated gutter service company that handles installation, cleaning, repair, and gutter guard upgrades for homeowners in its service area.

The campaign system was built around three practical goals: bring past leads back into the conversation, explain the value of gutter guards, and stay top of mind as seasons change. Each campaign has its own job, its own audience moment, and its own clear next step.

Three campaigns. Nine emails. One system for helping a local service business follow up, educate, remind, and book more work.

Campaign strategy

The system is built around three moments.

The setup
A local gutter service company had a list of past leads, current customers, and homeowners who had engaged but never booked. These people were not cold prospects. They had already shown interest. They just needed a useful reason to hear from Legacy again.
The goal
Stay in front of past leads, explain a higher-value service, and turn seasonal timing into booked work across three separate campaign sequences.
The approach
Three targeted campaigns: a lead reactivation sequence for contacts who went quiet, an education sequence for homeowners considering gutter guards, and a seasonal reminder sequence for spring and fall service windows.
What’s shown
Campaign planning, sequence logic, subject line direction, full email copy, CTA language, and branded email design mockups across nine emails.

Campaign 1

Getting past leads back in the door.

Legacy Gutter Co had a list of homeowners who requested quotes, asked about services, or reached out but never booked. The goal was not to treat them like strangers. The goal was to reopen the conversation in a way that felt useful, simple, and low-pressure.

01

The check-in

A direct, friendly note that acknowledges the time since the homeowner was in touch and opens the door for a new conversation.

Primary CTAGet a Free Estimate

02

The reason to act

Reminds the homeowner what clogged or damaged gutters can lead to: water damage, foundation issues, wasted cleaning cycles, and avoidable repairs.

Primary CTASchedule a Cleaning

03

The last door open

A final email that makes the next step clear. No hard sell, just a simple reminder that unfinished gutter work is easier to handle before the season gets busy.

Primary CTABook My Service

Campaign 2

Helping homeowners understand the upgrade.

Many homeowners do not know whether gutter guards are worth it. Some have heard mixed things. Some assume guards mean they will never think about gutters again. This campaign educates before it sells, so the homeowner can make a clearer decision.

01

What gutter guards do

Explains the mechanics simply and addresses a common misconception: gutter guards reduce maintenance, but they do not make a gutter system maintenance-free.

Primary CTALearn More About Guards

02

The math on cleaning vs. guards

Lays out the cost comparison over time without forcing the sale. The point is to help the homeowner see the tradeoff clearly.

Primary CTASee If Guards Make Sense

03

Is your home a good fit?

Introduces a quick assessment and positions Legacy as the helpful expert. It creates a natural path to a quote without making the email feel pushy.

Campaign 3

Showing up before the season changes.

Spring and fall are natural decision points for gutter services. Homeowners are more likely to act when rain, leaves, storms, and home maintenance are already on their mind. This campaign meets them at the right time with a practical reminder.

01

Spring is the right time

Opens the season with a warm, practical reminder of what winter can do to gutters and why spring is the right time to check before heavy rains hit.

Primary CTASchedule a Spring Cleaning

02

Book before the rush

Creates gentle urgency by noting that schedules fill quickly once the season opens. Early booking means better timing and less stress.

Primary CTAClaim My Spot

03

Fall checklist

Frames pre-winter service as the responsible, less stressful choice before leaves fall and weather turns.

What this project shows

How email can support a local service business beyond one-off announcements.

The Legacy Gutter Co campaign system shows that email is not just for newsletters, sales, or quick reminders. For a local service business, email can support different moments in the customer relationship: first follow-up, education, seasonal timing, booking, and repeat work.

Campaign system, not just a single send
Three separate sequences, each built around a distinct audience moment: reactivation, education, and seasonal service timing.
Copy with a reason to exist
Each email earns its place in the sequence. No filler, no generic reminders, no vague “reach out anytime” copy.
Strategy before production
Audience, offer, hesitation, and timing are defined for each campaign before the emails are written or designed.
A clear next step every time
Every email has one job and one call to action: estimate, assessment, booking, or reply. No confusion about what to do next.

Need a campaign system for your service business?

If your business has past leads, seasonal service windows, repeat customers, or higher-value services people do not fully understand, email can probably do more than it is doing now.
